i love that your standing up for kids of all ages and i think principals and teachers need to get their heads out of their butts and realize that you have to know how to teach a kid if you want them to learn anything just like if you dont know how to break a horse then you dont try to break him. also i think that teachers put theirselves above the kids and use their authority where it shouldnt be used and if they would do their jobs (teach) as much as they tried to discipline then they wouldnt even afford to be able to send what they are paid to do home for the parents to do their job. but people need to be more like you and start holding them accountable.

Homework is boring, we already have 6 hours of school, then go to bed around 8:30-9:30 which leaves us with about 6 hours at home, but then we have homework to do which uses some of that time, so really we have less time to do what we want to do at home!.
And if we dont do our homework (WHICH WE DONT WANT TO DO)we will get in trouble for it and stay in during lunch time or (at my school sometimes) get a detention which sucks!.
say ‘NO’ to home work

Night after night I help my tired exhausted children, Y6 and Y9 do their homework. I love to teach my children things but the endless paper based excercises and internet research given to tired school kids(and parents)at the end of the day really sickens me. Good luck with your campaign.

What a great idea. Children should be allowed to be children for a while without the constant pressure of homework, exams etc from the moment they start attending school.

What a good idea - homework is so often a cause of friction in the family. Well done for taking a stand.
