Make homework a thing of the past!

How many of you actually enjoyed doing homework? Come on, be honest! How many of you parents actually enjoy making your children do their homework? I thought so!

We can make a difference!

Sign the petition on this website and let’s make some real change.

My objections to homework are:

1. that homework makes learning a negative experience.

2. that homelife is disrupted by forcing mentally exhausted children to work on after school.

3. children should be left to explore the world in their free time IN THE WAY THAT EXCITES THEM AND IN THE WAY THAT THEY WANT TO!

Homework is punishing for everyone, without it ….

Children could be playing and having ’staring out of the window time’ or inspiration time.

Parents could be having fun and loving relationships with their children creating harmony in the home.

Teachers could be having a cuppa and a sit down after a long, hard day’s work.

“Schools should be a place where children learn what they most want to know, instead of what we think they ought to know. The child who wants to know something remembers it and uses it once he has it; the child who learns something to please or appease someone else forgets it when the need for pleasing or the danger of not appeasing is past.” John Holt (How children fail, 1964, Penguin)
